Can I ask a favor?

Can everyone please keep my friend Lele in Lexington, KY in their thoughts, prayers, good wishes and positive vibes?

Yesterday was a good day for flaming youth and myself, but my Lele didn't get that sort of news. Lele has been dealing with Stage 4 lung cancer (mets to adrenal gland) for over a year and her scan showed 10% growth in the adrenal tumor. She's had stable disease for the past 6 months, so no chemo since then. She worked throughout chemo, then her employer fired her right before Christmas because she "wasn't focused" enough on her duties.

5. She only had COBRA

for a month and now nothing. Like so many she's maxing out CC, taking a mortgage on the house, doing whatever needs to be done to pay for her health costs. I just feel so bad!

I said a prayer for Lele, and that employer of hers is in for some very bad Karma. If I were in Lexington, I'd picket his place of business. Bastard.
I hope she can get some good treatment, and that she's feeling well and finding peace somehow in spite of it all :(

Her former employer is in the business of training thoroughbred horses. He's a brazzilionnaire and none of her mistakes cost him any of his precious money.

She's an amazing person, full of strength and courage, but this last report really got her down. I'm scared for her.
