My husband has his PET scan Wednesday morning.
He is 15 months post treatment from head and neck cancer, which has a high recurrence rate the first 2 years.

He has seen his ENT every six weeks, but the last month he has developed a hoarse voice which was chalked up to his throat being toasted by radiation.

I am extremely nervous about this PET as I was researching today and discovered hoarseness is a symptom of a recurrence. I thought I knew everything about this type of cancer; plus he was doing great physically and had a good PET last November.

We should know the results on Thursday afternoon.

1. Prayers and Best Wishes to your family!
Hope that you're able to stay peaceful and happy over the next couple, and that the scan comes out clean as a whistle!

2. Sending out best vibes that all is clear with the PET.
I know it's always difficult waiting for results, but try not to worry too much in the next day or so. Bless you for taking such good care of your husband.

3. Thinking of you both.
Glad you can get the results so quickly.

I also have a type of cancer with a high recurrence rate, so I totally understand the feeling of being on pins and needles about these things.

Keep us posted if you can.
