Update on husband's PET results.
Mike's scan was clear, and he was due to see his ENT in early August but I got him in last Friday as I was concerned about his hoarseness, as that can be a sign of recurrence in oral cancer.

ENT put camera down his throat and found a "polyp". Can't say for sure what it is, but if PET didn't pick it up it is very small and caught early.

His treatment would be another 39 radiations to neck, possibly chemo.

We were going to visit family for 5 days and returning Tuesday, but they only had 2 openings for surgery to take this thing out and biopsy it, this coming Monday or August 20th.

We cancelled the trip and will use the plane tickets another time.

His surgery is Monday at 7:30am.

Please send good vibes our way.

Thanks.

1. Good vibes coming your way.
You're right about the PET. If it didn't pick it up it is very small and certainly treatable.

2. Good vibes headed your way.
You guys will be in my thoughts on Monday. I'm glad to hear it's small and that they caught it so early.

Take good care and try to let us know how the surgery goes when you get a chance.

5. Sending best vibes that it's benign,
but if not, it's an excellent sign that it was caught early.
