I got my hearing aids back today

Been without for a couple of months. The first thing I noticed was all the people talking spanish at the hospital. When I am without hearing aids, they all sound the same to me. Mumbling.

Yeah, Mumble, that language that more and more people speak as one gets older.

2. My mother always accuses me of mumbling. So does my SO.

And I have a trained voice, always articulate, never "mumble." My mother has a prescription for hearing aids, but, so far, has refused to get them. I've tried to talk her into getting them, but haven't had much luck... *sigh* And my SO has hearing loss, I'm sure, since he's a musician and a pilot, turns on the TV way too loud... I'm glad that you had the courage to address your hearing loss, my friend, and do something about it. In my experience, too many people choose to just ignore it. Kudos to you. :-)

3. Glad you got them back finally. I am afraid because the mumbling keeps getting worse

harder and harder to tell what people are mumbling all the time. My hearing loss progresses and I am not pleased.
