Michael "Precinct Level" Dukakis

Just joined DU and noticed this group.

I had the pleasure of having Mike Dukakis as a professor when I was a grad student at Northeastern University.

One of the things he used to hammer home when he talked about present-day politics was the lack of "organizing at the precinct level". In fact that's the one thing he always mentioned when he talked about Obama and 2012.

He was a big supporter of Deval and attributed his election and subsequent re-election to "organizing at the precinct level".

I guess that's all I wanted to say and one more thing: THE DUKE ROCKS! Seriously he was a great teacher and I still talk to him regularly.
