1. saw the movie yesterday....well done
it wasn't completely negative at the end but it did spell out that this was a great example of the "free market system at work"

3. corruption
"it will go down as one of the biggest blunders in the automotive industry."

-the last sentence of that video.

The blunder to drown a billion people in low lying countries with rising sea levels
has been planned and is acted on by the 1000 year bush reich. Electric cars won't
create the global warming the military needs to win its weather war.

4. And killing tens of thousands in wars fought over oil
Edited on Mon Jan-08-07 08:31 AM by DaveTheWave
The first gulf war and the current. It's always been about the oil. Saudi Arabia isn't exactly an icon of democracy and human rights but it's okay since they're good friends of the Bush family.

Edit - Reminds me, I still haven't seen Syriana yet.

5. If you don't believe in conspiracies you will be disappointed
Overwhelming evidence that two massive american industries (automakers and petroleum) conspired to destroy a perfectly profitable, environmentally-friendly business opportunity.

or...

"How much greed does it take to make a company grind millions of dollars of its own assets into little tiny pieces?"

A must-see.

7. GM is full of shit
Edited on Mon Jan-08-07 12:03 PM by wtmusic
'Concept car'. '2-3 years away'. What a bunch of nonsense. GM already produced a viable electric car, then deliberately destroyed them.

While GM was saying "hybrids don't make any sense" in 2002 Toyota was building and selling thousands.

I, for one, won't be holding my breath for the 'Volt' or *any* of GM's other empty promises, like the hydrogen fuel cell car.
