2. It would be soothing to me if Congress did their constitutional duty

There are two questions:

1. Should the President get a free pass and be seen historically as above the law?

2. Should the Congress relinquish its role as an equal branch of government with the White House, thus making the Presidency a supreme power that has no responsibility to answer to anyone but themselves?

If those questions can be answered by those against impeachment convincingly, then I would gladly give up my rights as an American. Otherwise, it's firmly a responsibility of Congress to step forward with investigations and subpoenas to find out just what has happened in the last 6 years.
