2. Thank you for posting this.
She lays it out very clearly.

Saturday Night Massacre, anyone?

I hope this bill can become law. If * vetoes it, we are in for trouble. The fool just wants to force a Constitutional crisis as soon as possible, doesn't he?

Can't some of these people refuse to resign, and bring this to more public attention?

4. Archibald Cox... yup.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archibald_Cox

Now they do an end run around it by sneaking it into the Patriot Act.

This is just one reason why these bills need to be looked at with a microscope when they get introduced, and why there needs to be a slow process to adopt them (one of the things *I* don't like about the 100 hours crap).

5. I emailed her tonight to thank her for taking it up.
I recommended to her that they junk all that Orwellian-named legislation.
She didn't listen to her constituents when we asked her not to endorse the war. Hopefully she's repented for her ignorance in trusting the neocons.

20. As someone who voted against her for the Greens the last two elections...
... I called her office up to say that I was very pleased with what she's been doing on this issue and the fact that she has been taking the lead in trying to raise public awareness instead of just being a "me too" senator like she has on other issues. I told them that this is one point in her favor to get me back towards being her supporter instead of someone voting against her. I hoped that and other comments from people like me has encouraged her to be even more strident with her comments in this piece and in days to come. Touche Dianne!

7. "Recently, it came to my attention..."
If it weren't for sites like DU, this probably wouldn't have come to her attention. Now we have to get to work on the other 99 Senators.

10. She implied she knew what they could be up to
But rather than attacking the administration she wants this striped from the act.

K & R. HUGELY important! We MUST get this into the MSM's attention. KO anyone? More impeachment fodder. The more we get these issues out into the open, the better chances for impeachment we have.

11. Talking Point: BushCo is pro-corruption, firing US attorneys investigating it...
It certainly looks deliberate to me.

It probably looks deliberate to anybody, given the number of resignations they are forcing and the hacks they are replacing them with.

15. DiFi is earning her way back into my heart
I'm glad she cares about her constituents.

These bahstards need to be prosecuted for all of their games and evasive moves to circumvent the Constitution of the United States. I think we have a chance, folks!

16. Scariest thing I've seen for some time.
The "PATRIOT" Act. Unbelievable. But then when you consider Bushco's subtlety, it isn't all that surprising.

I watched the judiciary committee grilling Gonzalez to some degree over the issue, but missed this speech. Good job, Senator Feinstein.

Unfortunately, Congress won't impeach Dubya, but should be indicted first.
