4. I've always disliked that song

Nobody joins to fight wars for corporations, for politicians, for a rich men's empire. They join out of a sense of duty, out of a need to express patriotism, and because it's a tradition in their families. They join to learn how to defend their own country.

They fight to defend their buddies.

The universal soldier isn't to blame. It's the rich man who sends him out to fight with a lie and a gun who is to blame.
