'Former Marine and UN weapons inspector, Scott Ritter, sits down with Wolf Blitzer to talk about his new book, Target Iran: The Truth About the White House's Plans for Regime Change.

Mr. Ritter tried relentlessly before the invasion of Iraq to warn the American public that Saddam Hussein didn't possess weapons of mass destruction nor have any ties to al Qaeda only to be ridiculed, smeared and, ultimately, ignored. Maybe we should listen to him on this one.'

1. Thank you for posting;
Major Ritter speaks as a military officer when he talks about the exercise of the nuclear option being a very real possibility with 40K American troops on the ground in Iran. It would be an unacceptable risk to them and we'll have no one but the Frat Boy and his regime to blame for those troops being at risk.

It was easy to dismiss the idea of war against Iran every time some one asked about it in the last couple of years. Even given the Bush regime's track record of making up reasons for war when there are none, there was the point that with the military being tied up on occupation in Iraq that there were no troops available for such an exercise against any nation, especially one about two and a half times as large as Iraq both geographically and population-wise. In addition, Iran may not be my idea of a democratic state but still isn't anything like Iraq under Saddam; there is even less reason to suppose US invaders will welcomed as liberators.

The idea is completely stupid. However, as The Magistrate said some time ago, the "it's-too-stupid-to-try" test does not apply to the Bush regime.

We need to impeach and remove the entire Bush regime now. It has become a matter of urgency and public safety.

Kicked and recommended.

2. yes sir, and i do agree; this continued thinking that a move onto Iran will cause...
with a few bombs, even nuclear for that matter, Iran to defer or acquiesce to barbarism is just crazy talk

the purveyors of crazy talk must be cut from this body politic ours if need be and that is clearly soon to be the case imo

8. Loved Major Ritter shutting down Wolf
Wolf tried the "oh but Clinton was bad too" ploy and Ritter told him he wouldn't discuss it. Loved it.
