Without Cheney's hand up his ass, he'd be paralyzed.

He'd be picking up pieces of unwanted shrubbery and fishing, left to his own devices. He considers all this stuff beneath him, but believes what Uncle Dick and the Rev. Moon are telling him and is only too happy to carry out their plans.

If anything, he does know he's coming close to turning the earth into a burned out cinder, the only life left in the deepest parts of the ocean. It's his ticket to heaven.
