3. The Reps were going to filibuster this so they needed the votes to make it

filibuster-proof.

His vote wouldn't have made a difference to FISA -- it did in this case

7. It's a big enough issue that, since he was there today anyway, I would have expected

him to register his vote.

It's amazing that he had to grit to make it there at all, but I'm just wondering about this.

9. I'm sure he would have been there for FISA if he'd been able.

Earlier today they weren't even sure he could make it for the Medicare vote.

Chemo is debilitating.
