I am a sinner. I don't idolize many people ... well, I idolize no one in fact. But this man, this genius with words...he is coming close to being an idol in my mind.
I know I should, but I in fact don't know who writes his words. I want to think he writes them himself, and if so, I do fervently hope someone tells me so. Regardless, the writer and the speaker cannot be given enough praise. It's all just rhetoric, but it is needed rhetoric. If I believed in reincarnation, I would believe that this man had in fact been reincarnated from the spirit of Edward R. Murrow because his words, his delivery, and his passion are so akin that that lonesome voice from our past. In truth, it's a ratings game, and we should all be aware of this, but the important point here is that the ratings game now is turning in favor of those who speak these kinds of truths, those who wade through -- pardon the course language -- bullshit and read our minds and look for truth beyond the vast conspiracy of lies that has so ruled our recent years as a nation.
I do not say these words lightly because I barely even believe in the possibility of a god. But God Bless Keith Olbermann.
Good night, and good luck.
