4. That Sanford clip is absolutely priceless.
Asked for differences on economic policy between Bush and McCain, Sanford flounders with "Uh... well, take, for instance... uh..." for more than 20 seconds (from 1:35 to 1:56) before coming up with "the contrast on NAFTA".

I fault Rachel's performance only in that she waited a few minutes, after another interview, before mentioning that Bush and McCain have the same position on NAFTA.

What makes it really surprising is that Sanford was given such a softball question. McCain's own speeches indicate that he understands the importance of distancing himself from Bush. Polls show that the economy is the issue most on voters' minds. So, if you were appearing on national TV as a McCain surrogate, wouldn't you be prepared to explain how McCain differs from Bush on economic policy? In fact, wouldn't you go out of your way to deliver your prepared spiel on that subject, whether or not you were actually asked the question? He was asked the question he should've most welcomed and he came off looking like a complete turkey.
