14. On one level, you can't make this up. On another, it's all made up.

Whatever the oil companies pull out of the ground isn't going to enter the supply for a decade or more, and even then it is going to enter the world supply. It is not going to be dedicated exclusively to American users.

Also, I think it was Paul Krugman who projected the overall impact of this increased supply would be a reduced price per gallon of four cents, or less than a 1% change at today's prices, and probably a lower percentage decline a decade from now.

And that's without factoring in the cost associated with that exploration, drilling, and refining that is paid by the American people through a degraded environment.

And if you believe the Peak Oil argument, even with the drilling, the prices are going to remain high as demand explodes in China, India, and elsewhere.

It seems that we no longer have journalists with the balls to put these questions to these quacks - and that includes McCain.
How much oil will offshore and ANWR drilling add to the world supply?
Will that oil be exclusively for US users?
How much lower will the price of a gallon of gas be as a result of this drilling?
How will the increased demand for energy in China affect the price of oil in 2020?
Oh, and by the way, if the surge is over in Iraq, why are there still 18,000 more troops there now than in January 2007.
One more question. You've observed publicly that you graduated fifth from the bottom of your Naval Academy class and that your grades would be considered barely passing today. In considering your choices for a cabinet, should you be elected, are you planning to nominate others with equally poor records? Will this be a requirement? Have members of your Senate and campaign staffs had similar poor records, and is this what you would recommend for, say, the operation of a successful company?

So you can all see why I have a piss-poor attitude. No one asks these questions. No one holds these clowns to any significant standard of logic, ethics, or just plain smarts.

us around? If that is true he needs to add Saudia Arabia to that mix too. According to the these statistics in 2007 the US imported 394,856 barrels annually from Nigeria, 419,841 barrels annually from Venezuela and 530,245 from Saudia Arabia. So why doesn't jerk boy mention SA? Can't piss them off can you? What pandering. Oh and by the way Larry, Canada and Mexico send us more oil than even these three!
