4. The Sheik McSame claimed that was "Saved' by the surge died in Sept 07.

The Anbar Awakening, or Anbar Salvation Council, was founded by Sheik Abdul Sattar Buzaigh al-Rishawi in September, 2006, again, long before Bush's January 10, 2007 announcement of the surge. And ironically, at the same time troop surge levels peaked and US casualties were in the process of declining, al-Rishawi was killed in September, 2007 by a roadside bomb in Ramadi. It's even more ironic when considered in the context of McSame's claims that we were "able to go out and protect that sheik and others."

6. Reporters too stupid to call him on his lies. Following Obama's advice there never would

have been an insurgency. Surge has failed miserably to bring political reconciliation. Paying the Sunnis to fight al qaeda and criminal militias is what drove the violence down...not the splurge. The splurge was to protect and enable the profiteering of contractors. McCain is shameless having just been toled that Maliki and the Iraqis want us out he now is trying to claim conditions on the ground crap for being forced into leaving anyway. He's been wrong every step of the way. the insurgency was a direct result of Bremmer firing the Iraq army so they had no jobs or money. Totally incompetent decisions which cost the US forces over 4000 casualties and McCain supported it every step of the way. The man is a shameless liar whose only policy is attacking Obama. He repeated that "if Obama had his way line" as many times as he could because someone wrote it for him and told him to. What "victory" is he can't explain. Violence was down and going down further as a result of payng the Sunnis a salary(the Sunni Awakening) which began long before the "splurge" got in the way with it's wall off segregation and ethnic cleansing. McCain is a fool...how much more obvious can it become?

8. I can't find MSNBC anymore on Comcast.

I live in the outskirts of Portland, OR. I think Comcast pulled MSNBC, even though we still get FOX and CNN. There's something called CNBC instead, now.
