11. Don't know if it's legal but I wish this video had shown pics of the fallen women troops.

There have been some real heartbreaking posts on DU of these young women cut down in the prime of their lives. It's no less sad than a young man being killed, but I'm female and so I guess I identify with them more.

I always loved that song. It should be, like, our National Anthem now.

I've always despised this tactic, of trying to shame politicians when their children are not serving in the military. Barbara and Jenna are adults. Bush could no more enlist his daughters than you or I could enlist our children. Whether to serve in the military is ultimately a decision a person has to make on her own, and each person has to look inward to see if they have what it takes to make that sacrifice.

It may be valid to attack a youngster for his decision not to serve in some situations, (especially young people who are vocal war hawks). It may be valid to attack parents who have actively sought to keep their children out of the military. But you can't hold a parent responsible for their adult child's decision not to join the military.

Bush has given us plenty to criticize on his own account. We don't need to go after his daughters.
