The primary purpose of this site is to promote association, friendship; and legal, nonsexual, consensual touch (hugging, cuddling, etc) between men and prepubescent girls. I don't practice sexual touching of such girls, am not a sex offender, and am not prohibited from being around children.

I think the idea of creating 880-foot exclusion zones around schools creates a false sense of security: the nearest elementary to me is a good 6 miles away, yet I can drive there in 10 minutes. If I expand my driving radius to an hour in every direction, there are probably 50 or more elementaries alone (most middle-school girls don't interest me). I wouldn't be surprised if most convicted sex offenders have cars, but even those who don't are probably only a short bus ride to the nearest elementary or middle school. This was a legitimate news story and I don't fault KIRO for doing it, but I do object to the anti-pedo spin and hype they put on it: branding all 966 sex offenders in question as pedophiles, when probably many of them had no offenses involving prepubescent children. The one S.O. they interviewed and gave some crime detail on (Jin Yong Kim) apparently was busted for having a consensual sexual relationship with his girlfriend's 13-year-old daughter -- and we're supposed to consider him a "pedophile" "rapist" and be concerned that he's living near an elementary school (where there are surely no 13 F students)? I'd like to know how many of these sex offenders living near schools were actually convicted of grabbing or luring a child off the street. My guess is very few -- if any.

13. Dangerous case...

This is one of those situations that makes even the most staunch supporter of freedom of speech want to reconsider. The thing is, as disgusting as this example is freedom of speech is far to integral a part of freedom in general to play games with.

Thing is as much as I believe in freedom of speech I believe equally in "Responsibility" of speech. In other words if you let it come out of your mouth you'd better damn well be prepared for the consequences. I don't think making a law that makes it illegal to "encourage" something (even as despicable as being a pedophile) is wise, but I do believe there should be a federal law that states that if a site like this has been browsed by someone charged with crimes against a child the owners and operators of that site (especially the ones that offer "tips" on how to be a more efficient predator) would be considered aiding and abetting a criminal thus can be held and indicted as co-conspirators with the predator themselves.

Sure you can say it. Just be prepared to get gang raped in prison right along side the predator whose hand you were holding.
