Mike Papantonio of Air America Radio's Ring of Fire appears on Fox & Friends, opposite Michael Gramm, to talk about whether or not the government should step in and bail out the big 3 automakers. Also on the table is whether or not Sarah Palin has a future in the GOP, or has her 15 minutes of fame finally come to an end?

were flying so fast I can't blame him.

3. son'o'bitch union guys wanting to work for a living AND live on a reasonable income with health care
i understand that unions have at times "swung too hard" and they TOO need to be "flexible" ... but to think that unions have destroyed the industry--- BANKS tanked... not union..... the fact that some underpaid labor in TN or some blind children in CHINA are willing to work for foodstamps and county general hospital care DOES NOT MEAN UNIONS ARE NOT REASONABLE... it only means that there are TOO FEW CHILD LABOR LAWS... and that there are TOO MANY PEOPLE SOOOOOO HUNGRY THEY ARE WILLING TO WORK FOR FOOD----- it does not make it IN ANY WAY right to trash unions.

WHAT UNIONS NEED TO DO.... stay strong... be REALISTIC IN THEIR DEMANDS... and show their value to working america.

my brother is in the teachers union---- he makes a "reasonable" wage.... and because of the union, all of the NON UNION teachers also make a reasonable wage at other local and private schools. WITHOUT UNIONS .... the non-union teachers would be making minimum wage and no benefits.

WE ARE ENTERING AN AGE OF CLASS WARFARE... if you are not RICH... YOU SHOULD KNOW WHICH SIDE YOU ARE ON

5. Who buys a Ford?
Blame the workers! A GOP mantra.

Y'know, those same workers would be down there on the floor actually doing the hard work to make fuel efficient, practical cars instead of crappy SUVs if that's what management wanted them to do. Ask this: Why aren't American cars popular all over the world like Jap or German cars? Who in Europe or Asia buys a Ford? Why is that? Is that the assembly line's fault?

Do a little research, man. Ford and GM are selling PLENTY of cars in Europe. The difference is the type of cars they're sellin'. The cars being sold in Europe are smaller cars (like Chevy Aveo) that get upwards of 40+ mpg. Why? Because that's what the demand is in Europe. They want smaller cars that get good mpg. Here in the states, cheap gas in the '90's coupled with advertisement blitzes by American car makers increased demand for the Explorer, Expedition, Escalade and on and on. Now when gas shot up to 4.25 a/gallon (in Los Angeles where I am) people didn't want them anymore. Trust me, nothin' sucks more than to fill up your tank for 160 dollars a week just to spend half your drivetime stuck in traffic goin 25-30 on the freeway. Toyota, Nissan and Honda's CEO brought the "European model" of car-making to the US. Stylish, fuel-effecient, and easily customizable. That's why they don't need a bailout.
