3. Thanks a bunch Hissy. I missed this interview on the news tonight.
Prop 8: The Musical is brilliant.

I am certain that a lot of people who voted against Prop 8 feel as I do: we were blindsided by its passage. Sadly, everything I learned about who was behind it I learned on DU in the 2 weeks after the vote.

My one consolation is that gay people are not the only ones outraged by this. Well, there's another and even more important consolation: I don't believe that it will stand. Whether the court overturns it this year or not, Prop 8 is on the wrong side of history.

Hekate

5. Thank you for posting...
I hope there is a fuller show - there is great interest in this at the moment and I love how they handle the problem with humor. It is less threatening that way and hopefully some people may actually figure it out that this is NOT something that should be legislated as it is a civil right.

I have seen changes in attitudes here and elsewhere since Prop 8 passed so maybe it's a blessing in disquise. I can't see it having any staying power as legislation... the CA Supremes will take care of it eventually. But the issue will not go away with that decision which is why a musical/movie would be ideal to get the GLBT side told.
