3. Yes, and some would wonder if it's a little too convenient?
Something doesn't fit. But I'll STFU and let you enjoy this Rahm and Barack lovefest till I put my finger on what STINKS.

Have a good one. I'll let you party now. :hi:

7. I'm not a right winger, but I know Rahm made millions of dollars in the Stock Market
in only a few years as an Investment Banker.

The DLC loathes the LIBERAL wing of the democratic party - I always "wonder" when it comes to proven right wing Democratis.

Call me silly. ;)

11. Blagojevich is NOT even close to being the "liberal" wing of the party
The mafia kneecap-breaking wing, maybe.

15. I have the misfortune to live in his state
He cares about his Chicago cronies and Chicago big business that can give him lots of $$$. That's it. He throws out some "liberal" bones once in a while to appease the activists, but Blago is out for Blago.

The Green party candidate got 13% of the gubernatorial vote in 2006 because people here are so disgusted with Blago and his George Ryan crony Republican opponents. Politics in this state is a complete sewer and neither party is "clean."

Nice.

19. Somebody's head will probably roll, but this quote is a blessing for Obama
There is the possibility if not the implication that somebody on staff was at least giving face time to Blago and/or his goons. If it was Rahm and he's the one who turned them in (or even Rezko, as is the rumor) and no one else knew, then everyone's safe.

5. My understanding from the articles I've read thus far
is that this quote came from wirer-tappings of conversations Blag was having with close friends, not a quote he gave out as a statement. If this is true, then Obama can certainly take pride in smelling a stinker and saying NO to Blag.

that's what happens when you're smart and ethical. See, Palin, you really can avoid things like your staff not reporting your extra income. It's called management. Executive experience? yeah, baby.

8. That wasn't "fortunately" for Obama
Fortune implies luck. This was because of a deliberate and intelligent choice by the Obama team. Not fortune.
