President-Elect Obama told reporters, following his meeting with Al Gore and VP-Elect Joe Biden, that, "All three of us are in agreement that the time for delay is over, the time for denial is over."

The meeting to discuss climate change, which Obama called a "matter of urgency" was somewhat overshadowed by the Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich scandal.

2. That is the sound of camera shutters clicking
It's the photographers' camera shutters you hear in the video, I think.

4. At the begining I agree but around 1:35 it sounds more and more like the
hitting of keys and even like there is a carriage return. Then in the 2-3 minute range the cameras aren't flashing anymore and the cadence of the clicks seem to match Obama's speaking, as he slows down the clicking slows down and then when he speaks faster the clicking picks up. lol

Also on the camera people - do they really need so many shots, and why arent' the cameras quieter - It is digital now lol

8. It''s the sound of motor drive for film cameras
as for flash, the scene is lit for TV cameras, still photographers don't really need the extra light from a flash.

Most of these folks are going digital now, hopefully making the future press conferences less noisy.

6. who buys old cameras that click like that anymore

step up to the real world of good digital (and silent) cameras, you dolts!!!

they should outlaw anyone who comes in with a noisy camera - it would be like me walking in with a crying baby over my shoulder and expecting it to be 'ok' as long as I'm with the press corps

9. Old habits die hard.
Some photographers insist that film is a better media than digital. And they are likely correct in this for some types of photos, but for these "press conference" type photos, where the display media is either magazines, newspapers, or the internet, I would suspect that digital would be way more than sufficient. We really don't need to zoom in on that one hair growing out of a mole on Al Gore's neck...

11. The new "clean coal" commercials piss me off
they don't show you how they are changing the landscape and sawing off mountaintops, diverting centuries old streams and rivers, just to bring us clean (sic) coal.

13. Look more closely..
to those "clean coal" commercials. They are using irony to say that there is no such thing. It is empty space and air. Took me a few watchings to get it myself.
