1. I liked his answer.....
as it would have been much easier to blame parents for the lack of their involvement in our public schools today, and he chose to first examine why some parent might not feel that they are truly encouraged to do just that.

Very good approach to discussing the issue of parents....in that 2 minutes, anyways.
