9. Jesse's always sounded like that
He's always been a somewhat off-the-wall personality. As for the way he looks, chalk it up to the Agent Orange he inhaled in Vietnam and the years of steroid abuse in wrestling.

10. my thoughts exactly
I don't dispute what he says -- there's other evidence for it -- but his hair and involuntary tremors look very bad.

Maybe that's the point. To discredit the idea. A very COINTELPRO thing to do.

14. a limited hang out.
that is always my assumption when someone talks about this stuff. baer, banfield, all those guys. saying what everyone knows, not saying what no one knows. looks like they are talking, but not really saying anything.

6. I think he's keeping to a story at least to some extent.
In my silly little opinion he likely wasn't told everything and he is making up some of what he says they told him, or he is deliberately holding back on things they said. One way or another it seemed kind of fabricated somehow.

That's just my take.

I also am not impressed with his macho man statement at the end, it gives him less credibility in my mind. Why should we care if he is a tough guy who threatened a Christian In Action (as the Seals apparently say) agent?

7. interesting, thanks for posting

and here I thought the CIA was smart enough not to be pointed out in a crowd by Castro

guess after the tails that got fingered heard Jesse's statement, they moved on to other jobs elsewhere - hard to be discreet tailing someone when you are being watched in the rearview mirror

12. Perhaps all you critiquers should consider one word he said - hypocrisy.
He is one person who doesn't try to be one person in front of the public and another away from it. He plays his own role pretty consisently. It isn't ivy league.

It appears he was on a book tour. Instead of reading from the book he told some stories from it. He's not being interrogated by the people who's voices we hear on the tape, he's teasing them into buying the book and being himself.

Isn't this the issue = he resents the hypocrisy of the CIA operating within the U.S. on domestic affairs. And he made a decision not to be quiet about it.

Yes, he has an ego.

He's more forthright than Pawlenty who is just another 'suit politician' and Republican machine operative.

I'd like to know more about the Seals name for the CIA. That's a new angle ... for me.

13. Yea, I'm with Higher Class
Jesse has guts and we better hope it's catchy. One of my favorite things about the end of Bush is that maybe there will be stories, maybe there really will be transparency as Barack has promised. Our government isn't supposed to be scary but they are. They've been "power tripping" big time and that has to stop. It just kills me that they could find enough free time to surround a U.S. governor with 23 men, but couldn't find the time to stop 9-11.
If you think Jesse sounds "braggish" you have to remember... He learned most of his public speaking techniques by speaking to fans of the WWF. All your complaints here about him remind me of the old saying- "The worst lie is the truth told unconvincingly."
He sounds just a little funny here, but he's being a patriot.

I pray Obama will inspire and entertain a lot more of this, and I hope heads roll!

15. After watching Jesse over the years, I find him the type of person that tells it like it is and lets
the chips fall were they may. Although not polished and diplomatic, that is the very trait that I admire in him.

Sometimes, in order to find the truth, a person needs to be more concerned about the substance, rather than the appearance.

Uncovered rampant CIA infiltration of government agencies, and political campaigns, over 30 years ago.

Lisa Pease alludes to it about halfway through this audio-clip:

23. That stuff at the end sounded so adolescent.
Sometimes I get really sick and tired of hearing the games that these 3-letter agencies play. Tailing people, domestic spying, etc., etc. Then Ventura with the tough guy talk about someone floating in the river. That was stupid. The CIA could make him disappear in an instant and he'd be Judge Crater. No one would ever know where he was buried. I have no doubts if they decided to, the CIA could take any one of us in the middle of a sentence and we wouldn't ever know wha
