13. "collateral damage" like all the looting that was allowed
"freedom is messy" or some such repuke shit. The criminal Chimp regime needs to be tried and convicted of their war crimes or America will never recover spiritually, legally or economically.

16. Agree, but we know why nothing will be done...
too many from our party turned their backs :(

http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/12122008/transcript4.html

"BILL MOYERS: But how do you investigate your own party? The fact of the matter is Democrats knew about this wire tapping without warrants that conducted by the telecoms. And then they voted to give the telecom communications companies immunity. Barack Obama opposed giving them immunity and then reversed himself on it. So how does an incumbent president or an incumbent party in Congress investigate itself?

GLENN GREENWALD: Well, I think what you're getting at is the reason why the political class on a bipartisan basis is coming together to say, "Oh, no, we don't want to investigate these crimes. We think it's best to let it go." It's not because they're being magnanimous. It's not because they think it's important that Barack Obama be able to fix the economy undistracted by the controversies that would be created.

It's because exactly as you said. Top Democrats were complicit in these crimes and assented to them. I mean, it wasn't just the warrantless eavesdropping..."

15. remember that joke...
about cheney and w telling someone in a bar that they were going to kill 1 million Iraqis and a big boobed blonde, and the guy said "What did the blonde do?". That about sums up 1/2 of our country, and almost all of the media.

7. Wow, Even Chris is finally getting a SPINE!
Keep this on top! We can't even BEGIN to worry about the economy, health care or anything ELSE until we get justice for the lies of the last eight years. Unless these lousy Neocons are bit and bit HARD with prosecution, they will filibuster, cockblock and disrupt ANY PROGRESS! We have to kill the head in order to allow the rethug body to die. It's just that simple. If you think we should ignore this and kumbaaya this closing administration, you are freakin' kidding yourselves. There won't be ANY MOVEMENT until we have them quivering with fear. I swear, you let these animals get by with a mild kicking, they'll go lick their wounds and come back stronger and MEANER than before. I am serious as a heart attack about this. Get involved and MAKE THEM PAY.
