Interesting to go back and see the Background on Mike Connell. Sad to see he died in that plane crash and I feel sorry for his kids and wife...but he has very interesting "connections."

2. I was looking at the article in the Akron paper regarding this accident.

There was not one mention of Mike Connell's connection to Rove or his DC connection. I found that very odd. Just a man that crashed a plane. Go figure.

no mention... Two days later and no major media even reporting it. If it was a Dem Operative who had worked with Clinton when he ran for election...and served Dems all that time...the Right Wing would be all over it like ticks on a dog... But...our Dems seem to be laying low about this and even the RW doesn't want to touch it. Must be a battle going on between our parties as to how to deal with it. :shrug:

(who just love murder, mayhem and conspiracy) have bothered to even mention it. Someone posted here on DU on Saturday that Fox News gave it a brief mention...but there's been nothing since except the "local news station" looking for ratings that did actually put out the connection with Connell and Rove...

they'd be run out of office via an honest election.

The large computer counters used by media to count votes came in during the

mid-late 1960's -- and there were often "crashes," especially after jumps in

votes of one candidate. When computer resumed, numbers dropped back and the

other candidate was winning.

The Colliers began to investigate and had a book deal. Book was suppressed.

but I think we have to understand the past -- the full range of

the problem - before we can even begin to tackle cleaning up the

actual mechanics of the system. We have to understand the many ways

this has been done, involvement of media heads -- many in the press

knowing what was going on. Most of the public is unaware of how long

this has been going on. It seems Miller may be unaware.


And perhaps most importantly, re-thinking our elections - back even to

the Nixon-Humphrey era. Maybe Americans haven't been voting against

their best interests. Maybe the machines have been. I think we might

need to readjust our concept of what has really happened in America.

Naturally, corporate money and corporate control over our elections

should also be barred. That's at the least a two hundred year old problem

Teddy Roosevelt addressed.

Hope some others who are newer here will take time to look at it.

As for Professor Miller not knowing about it, I can't say, but if we can get attention to what happened since 2000 it's a start at rooting out the current corruption before it goes any further. The people involved whether Repugs or Dems (HAVA ACT) need to be held accountable. Some of them are probably even involved in the financial corruption coming down on the heads of innocent people all over the world.

It would seem this was broadcast end of October/early November 2008. So about 2 months old.

11. There's something fishy here

But like all the other scandals it will go nowhere. Besides there too busy talking about the Obama/ Blago scandal. We need voting places that are Goverment buildings and only open for elections with camera's. We should have a whole month to go and vote and each precinct must show an electronic tally. Head count in and head and vote count out. No votes found in someones car. The votes should be counted right on the spot. No more month long counting. All results in on election day.

13. We need verifiable paper ballots that can be gone back over

if an election is contested. And, counting machines that have open access code. We have it in NC and it took alot of work by a small band of people to get it through. Voting activists have been working in other states but it's very hard to do in a state controlled by Repugs and even in some states controlled by Dems. It's important to keep working on the issue.
