Though describing Bush's own record, Vice President Cheney could just as easily of been describing President Bill Clinton's record on fighting terrorism: 7+ years with no attacks on the U.S. mainland. Despite attacks in foreign countries, no additional attacks took place on U.S. soil following the attack on the World Trade Center early in the President's first term.

Only difference is, Clinton didn't embroil the nation in a seven-year, trillion dollar war that has cost the lives over 4,000 soldiers, violate the Constitution, break numerous laws, and ACTUALLY CAUGHT THE PEOPLE THAT DID IT.
