During the Election frenzy I was talking with XXXXX Management Group in informal discussion, evaluation and options for The Frank Factor. I've since been put in the don't call us, we'll call you file. I'll tell you this- at the time, it was very, very exciting and something I'll never forget and I thank XXXX for the thrill. At the time I declined to explore long form radio and I believe that was the right thing to do. I have no on-air experience in that area and I felt I couldn't produce a worthy product to fill three hours.
That said, longer form radio is an area that I want to explore in the new year.This next year will be one of experiment and exploration for The Frank Factor. As some of you know I am working with In Your Face Radio, currently producing a weekly Frank Factor in a Minute, highlight segment running in rotation on IYFR. I am working on a half hour weekly show to be included as well. I want to devote some part of future shows to educational material, primarily our government how it works and how we can take it back- something that used to be called Civics. Don't worry, it won't be the bulk of the material we'll still ridicule and roast right wingers.
I can tell you now that longer form presentations will be of a more varied pace and tone than the shorter YouTube segments. You will be able to download Frank Factor podacsts and listen to them at times when watching YouTube segments would be impossible or impractical. I will still do special commentaries for video and YouTube. It may be possible for me to take live calls via Skype in the future, giving you all a chance to be heard and to interact.
As an animal lover, this Holiday season I ask that you please consider helping out our animal friends during this brutal winter and economic catastrophe, as well as our Human brothers and sisters. My wife and I have initiated a new policy this year regarding gift giving; we ask that those considering giving us gifts instead make a donation of equal value to an animal shelter in their area and in return we will donate our gift to them to the charity or cause of their choice. This may be the policy for all future Christmas seasons.
As aggressive as I may sound at times, I want everyone to know that behind it all, I wish no one harm, I will never and have never called for violence- as some on the right have done, against anyone. Responsible defense of this nation can, at times call for drastic measures and in the immediate act of self defense once must do what one must do but state sponsored executions, preemptive wars of choice, torture and terrorism are not, to my mind, American values. They are the signs of failure, capitulation and fear. Let's hope we get the change we all voted for on this and other issues.
