in a conviction and removal from office, we could have tried....but conviction requires 67 votes in the Senate......Think THAT was possible? I don't.

And I can think of nothing I would want more that these 2 asses to consider their actions as having been completely justified by the Senate, and, therefore, feeling free to violate the Constitution even more freely than they already do.

Cheney has been lying non-stop to cover his own ass for eight years, and he told Mr. Schieffer more falsehoods than truths in that clip.

Waterboarding is most certainly torture. The Grand Inquisitor Torquemada thought so. He also thought it was an extremely effective way to get witches and heretics to confess to having commerce with the Devil, which should tell Cheney and any one else about the quality of information gained by such "advance interrogation techniques." So, when Cheney says the US government got valuable information through waterboarding KSM and other terror suspects, he's lying.

When Cheney talks about Lincoln suspending Habeas Corpus during the Civil War and calls it "legal", he conveniently omits any mention of Ex parte Milligan, the case where the Supreme Court posthumously wrapped Lincoln's knuckles over the point. It was illegal; and no vote of Congress could make it legal, then or now. Once again, Cheney is a willful, deliberate liar.
