1. You'll see similar tactics on all fronts
For example, if Paul Krugman is right and Obama needs to go bigger on the economic stimulus and what he's doing doesn't work that well, then the GOP will come in and freak out about how Obama made things worse and he needs to revert back to crazy Republican economic ideology. He'll get killed for not having enough tax cuts etc etc. Get ready for an ugly 4 years from the Right, just as usual.

6. Evidence?
The cock crows. The sun rises. Therefore, the crowing cock causes the sun to rise. The unsubstantiated crowing by the Bush birds that suspension of the Constitution protects the country from terrorism is at least as credible as roosters crowing forth the sun rise.

changes to Clinton's terrorism tactics lead us to 9/11?

I know, let's make treason postpartisan! Then everyone can be friends! Kumbaya my lord, kumbaya!

Sorry, suffering a bit from postpartisan depression. I'll adjust my self-meds a bit and come back later with a better attitude.

of hearing how bushco kept us so safe after 911. the only previous time this country had a foreign terrorist attack on our soil was the original attack on the WTC in 1993. who kept us safe from 1993 to 2001? and who kept us safe prior to 1993? i don't count (but do not dishonor those attacked at) Pearl Harbor since Hawaii was not yet a state and the attack was during wartime. and what about the anthrax attacks? i honestly believe those responsible for them are still at large.

23. Oklahoma bombing
In 96 I think it was. And looking back on that video and remembering that day myself. It's another 9/11 mystery. They said they had other explosive devices in the building and they took one out. And they went to save a woman and had to leave for fear of another bomb going off but it didn't. So again the rental truck was the cause but there were other explosives in the Federal Building that Timmy somehow got in. Yeah Right. How does Timmy get into a Federal Building to plant explosives? Things that make you go
Hmmmmmmmm!

the Oklahoma City bombing was because it was a domestic terrorist attack. and then there were the Unabomber attacks from 1978-1995 & the Centennial Olympic Park bombing (+ the other 3 bombings: 2 abortion clinics & a gay & lesbian nightclub, carried out by Eric Robert Randolph from 1997-1998!) in 2005.

so, in all, it looks like there have been many more domestic terrorist attacks on US soil than foreign terrorist attacks!

edited for spelling & grammatical errors!

20. This sounds like...
...an individual that's threatening the incoming POTUS. I think it's clearly a case deserving a little 'rendition', followed by some 'aggressive interrogation' to determine just how much more he knows about the plot to overthrow/undermine the new administration. Then if he doesn't come across with any useful information just lock him up in that thing in Gitmo, or wherever they send those guys, until hell freezes over.

22. This can actually be a good thing
Edited on Mon Jan-12-09 02:36 PM by BecauseBushSaysSo
Because Obama needs to prosecute Bush/Cheney. If he doesn't then this shit will pull him down. It will make Bush look like the hero that he's not and we'll never hear the end of it. If Obama wants to just look to the future and not look back maybe this will make them take another look. If Obama doesn't expose all the crimes against us and the world during Bush's regime then this shit will get worse. They have to show the people the crimes and explain to those who don't even know that we have been living under a dictatorship for the last 8 years.

They should be arrested for treason NOW, before they do anything to harm our country. (not that they already haven't)

34. Of course they'll blame Obama.
They are not about to blame GW and Condi for
ignoring the repeated warnings of a imminent
attack
given by Richard Clarke and others
prior to the 9/11 attacks.

We are not safer now than we were on 9/11.
Al-Qaeda and the Taliban now control large areas in Iraq
and Afghanistan.

36. He beat me to it
After the first 30 seconds I was thinking of writing a post taking about how Bush and 9/11 were not held to this same rule or how Bush ignored tons of terror warnings and spent most of 2001 on vacation even as 14+ nations were giving us tons of warnings about an imminent terror attack.

Also bring this up. The national intelligence estimate (which was written by all 16 US spy agencies, aka the CIA, FBI, DEA, NSA, DOE, intel agencies of all 5 branches of the military, in 2006 found that the war in Iraq was making terrorism worse. Bush's response was to try to bury the report

http://www.nytimes.com/2006/09/24/world/middleeast/24terror.html

" An opening section of the report, “Indicators of the Spread of the Global Jihadist Movement,” cites the Iraq war as a reason for the diffusion of jihad ideology.

The report “says that the Iraq war has made the overall terrorism problem worse,” said one American intelligence official. "

We need to go on the offensive to neutralize and control the debate before the neocons do. We can't wait for them to control the debate. Talk about how the neocons carried water for Bush and how Bush spent most of 2001 on vacation even while warnings were coming in from everywhere. Look up 'complete 9/11 timeline' and click on 'key warnings (94)' to see all the warnings. I can't link to it w/o this post being deleted. Talk about how Bush made terror worse by ignoring afghanistan & Pakistan to focus on Iraq and how Iraq made it worse according to the NIE. Talk about how the neocons still carried Bush's water even after that.
