1. Refreshing indeed!
Props to Feingold for pressing the issue and to Holder for responding with apparent humility and candor.

11. Not a lot of money
to spend on tailors. I believe Russ is the Senator with the lowest income of all the Senators. He's not one of the millionaire senators.

4. Sen. Feingold asks legal questions that are beyond my
understanding. Fisa falls under category three, and therefor has no known entities that would allow president to disregard fisa. Does anyone understand why Sen. Feingold is relieved to get this answer?

8. i believe that what he is asking is that are there any circumstances
that exist that would allow the President to wiretap without following FISA.

In other words is there any other powers that the President could count on to do an end around.

The reason that I think this is not an issue is that FISA allows for a 3 day retroactive warrant application if emergency conditions require the President to act before he has a warrant in hand.

Good question by Feingold and good question by Holder.

10. And this is why
there is no possible justification for Bush circumventing the law? I mean, with the three day grace period The Bush Administration could have wire tapped anyone before a warrant. I have suspected all along that they didn't want even these FISA measures so they could wire tap their political enemies. This would explain a lot. Georgie, you got a lot of splainin' to do.

7. Eric Holder
is a breath of fresh air for the DOJ. Americans have waited long enough for the DOJ to return to upholding the Constitution & the laws of this great nation.
