1. I think the marching "Isiserettes" are from Iowa -- C-Span has them labeled as

an ROTC group but....I...don't...think...so.....:)

The kids in the Isiserettes are beloved here in central Iowa. They did a great service for then Sen. Obama when he campaigned in Iowa. Check them out on youtube. Here is on of my favorites on the way to the Jefferson Jackson Day Dinner in Des Moines. They got very little coverage during the parade and Wolf Blitzer inaccurately said they were from the first lady's Chicago high school.

3. They were mislabeled on CSpan and perhaps on other feeds as well.

I let the person who uploaded the video know to change the description to give proper credit to the Isiserettes. I saw them live during the parade coverage and was thrilled to find them on YouTube today. Hopefully they'll do more television appearances because they are excellent.

as a band mom, I totally admire and appreciate what these kids are doing! My son's high school band has been invited to DC to be in the 4th of July parade. Last year I wouldn't have let him go...this year, we will do whatever we can to see that the band gets there!

I am a pretty "rhythm dead " person, but when that marching band is playing, I want to move!
