Here are my thoughts on this news:

If they want to round out a progressive evening, I really think TYT gives a unique perspective. I don't see anyone being bored by the third hour of MSNBC prime-time even if they watch the first two hours (of Olbermann and Maddow).

I should mention that Cenk has been a guest on Countdown before (possibly twice but I can only remember the time Keith invited him on because he loved of labeling Fox News as "opinion media", ).

Also, (where Cenk also hosted the likes of and ). At any rate, make sure you watch these clips of Cenk on CNN Headline News and THEN tell me he wouldn't be incredibly entertaining on TV:

PS---Cenk already gets awesome guests. Naomi Klein, Naomi Wolf, Ted Kennedy, David Sirota and too many others to name. On TV, the possibilities are endless!

2. I'm always surprised at how blunt the GOPers are about this:

"Why would I want (universal health care) to succeed? I'm opposed to that!"

They admit that they don't want a successful universal health care program because it would disprove their arguments about big government being an automatic failure. Their interests are purely ideological; they can't tolerate a successful government program because that doesn't fit into their preconceived worldview. Nowhere does the good of the American people factor into the equation.

Dress up a room with fake mikes and sound boards, lock these too dinosaurs in it and let them pretend they are relevent and interview each other for eternity. They could put in a 2-way mirror so zoo goers could see "Neocons in Their Natural Habitat".

4. Everyone has a grievance

I'm a white anglo-saxon male and I have a grievance I want resolved! The fact that Bush did not win an election but still sat in the Oval Office for 8 years anyway. Just look at the disaster it was! Court appointed presidents don't work!

5. As a black man, I find Limbaugh's statements about race to be

comical. It's not that he's black, blah de blah. At this point, he IS the president! If you want him to fail because he is black, then you want the entire country to fail! The stupidity of racists must now be obvious to even them! "I can't want him to fail because he is black because that would mean I want to suffer because of this stupid notion of race." BINGO!

11. Completely tangential but this is the third TYT video that has been yanked for

terms of service violations.

It's happened before and it took a little time for them to get back up. Worst case scenario is they can't reactivate the account, which would be disastrous.

At this point I have reason to be optimistic, but you never know.
