1. It has ALWAYS been ok to kill civilians in the USA's many wartime adventures. Obama, sadly, will probably kill a few more in Afghanistan. But it was especially grievous to sacrifice 4000 young American soldiers and a million innocent civilians in Iraq so that Bush, Cheney and a few others could literally make a killing, while the taxpayer and army families paid the price. "call the terrorists"????

Helping the third world deal with aids, and spousal abuse, and unwanted pregnancy through education, contraception, and yes when it is deemed necessary abortion is a good thing for the world and by extension, the US. Oh..unless you get off on playing God. It is astounding that people who proclaim they are Christian don't believe in freedom of choice. Did not God give Adam and Eve freedom of choice? Is not the Christian faith based on a voluntary submission? Abortion is a personal choice between a woman, a doctor, and her God (whatever form that takes). If the Christian afterlife turns out to be true, and all your xenophobic fears are realized, the Big Man will lay the gavel down and you can snicker by the sidelines. But until then, MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS. judge not asshole, lest you be judged

4. Who are the gitmo detainees? Most were picked up on the battlefield, or were turned over by warlords for $. That means most are simply POW or just people who were in the wrong place at the wrong time. If they have committed terrorist actions let them be tried in a fair court of law. The idea that the State can just sweep up a bunch of people, give them no Geneva convention rights, and hope that if they torture all of them one of them will admit something suspicious is not the behavior of a moral, law abiding nation. And besides that it only pisses off the family and friends of the detainees and creates REAL terrorists.
If a detainee is found to be nothing more than a taxi driver (watch "Taxi to the Dark Side") picked up in a sweep and tortured for seven years, and if he is in danger if he returns to his home country, then why not repatriate him to the US? Geez you owe him at least that much.

5. Oh yeah, weaponizing the space above us. Very bright. That foolish costly project only encouraged Russia and China to compete. So you really want the space surrounding the Earth to be chock full of space ships with missles aimed down at every country on earth? That's your future dream? yikes. The idea is to STOP the madness of this idea and create a treaty that Russia and China will also sign. It won't be hard to monitor adherence for something like this as opposed to within sovereign borders of foreign countries.

Once again its not the criticizing that is wrong, its the two-faced hypocrisy of the right wing blowhards that is shamefully naked on display. And the gall of it after propping up such a disaster of a president for the last 8 years.
