Why don't we have politicians of this calibre in America, rather than assclowns like Inhofe or Hatch?

Nice little dig he took at the Israeli air force comparing their bombing to the Nazi Luftwaffe bombing of London, too.

2. I have nothing less than total admiration for this dude.

If you remember, this is the guy that Michael Moore interviewed in his movie, "Sicko".

He is a very pragmatic thinker and you have to admire him for that. :applause:

3. I've always thought it was a great tragedy that Tony Benn never became leader of the Labour Party

(In fact, he only lost the deputy leadership race in 1981 because the leader of one of the unions that had a block vote in the Labour leadership process defied his membership's support for Benn and cast his party's votes for the right wing Labourite Denis Healey, thus consigning Labour to a humiliating defeat).

In Britain today he's often called "the best prime minister we never had".
