6. I think there is more made of why he wasn't selected. If Dean said he didn't want anything.

President Obama took him at his word. I get no impression Dean was left in the cold from all I read. I think his experience with PUMA made him wanna run a mile, can't blame him. If Barack offers him the slot great but I don't see why we should take it to heart if he doesn't. Randi Rhodes(who knows a lot of Democrats) and Claire have said Obama and Dean are on friendly terms. I've no reason to believe otherwise myself.
