2. " The road of justice is long." it may take some work but we'll get there in one fashion or another>

Whatever the road ahead things are on a far, far better path now. Things actually getting done it's a whole new world right now. Good to see he also highlights the worth of the stimulus plan, let alone knock on effects of industry around construction, food, bars etc.

4. Paid with a cigarette tax
Why not a booze tax instead. I am so tired of being the one who has to fork over more money for children I don't have. I can't get married and get benefits but I can pay taxes for other peoples children.

I think vices are taxed to discourage use. Not that it stops
any of us.

Although it took me three hypnosis events to actually realize
the mechanisms I have to trigger addictive behavior and then I
finally gave up cigarettes for real. Its been since 1999
maybe.

But I LOVE my micro brew. I pace myself, exercise, drink a
lot of water, all so I don't kill myself for the beer. I just
enjoy it so much more than soda pop. I think it is more
healthy too, in moderate amounts (two glasses).

IMNSHO

Hey..... I really appreciate this group.

My latest photo (this is huge, but if you pull down, I am the girl, my husband is the boy) And there is another after that one.

p

And here is another

taken a couple of years ago and we had a kegerator then! Boy, I really miss it.
No, it's those soda pop people who have diabetes and weigh a ton.

BTW,your comment smells of resentment and ill will. Sorry you are having that problem.

Practicing Ethicscan help reduce your animosity, hostility and stress. Or maybe the Integrity Tone Scale can help. Good luck on that.

I only heavy breathe when my delightful husband makes me moist.

8. Worthy attempt
but a good majority of poor people smoke, yes i know a lot of well to do people also smoke but a great population of smokers are not very well off.
I see it as a tax on the poor, which is sad.
Just saying...........

11. I know how difficult it is to quit smoking
so I hope nobody thinks I'm one of those anti-smoking Nazis I keep hearing about.

But seriously...if a person can still afford to buy cigarettes, he's not poor enough yet. And I don't mean that the way it sounds.

Using, for example, one of my relatives. This person has driven cars that needed repairs...had utilities shut off for nonpayment...has a leaking roof on her home...various broken appliances, etc.

She and her husband smoke. Knowing myself how hard it is to quit, I suggested maybe switching to a less expensive (generic) brand. That right there would save at least half, and go a long way toward paying bills or repairing a broken car or appliance.

NOOOOO.....!!!!

So the way I figure it is, oh well - they're obviously not poor enough yet.
