2. Did Harry Reid just fall off a turnip truck?
Edited on Fri Feb-06-09 12:32 PM by Ganja Ninja
Has he been stranded on a desert island for the last 30 years? Is he purposely acting this naive to try and prove a point?

We know the GOP is a bunch of partisan hacks Harry. Stop trying to pretend they're something else. You're wasting time when the rest of the country is tanking.

11. It's good leadership to work with Republicans. There can't be a mistake from this.
This is why we have a two party system. So we do work together to get a balance in results.

12. Balancing good with terrible benefits no one.
A two party system only works well if both parties are reasonable. Obama appears to be a centrist president, so balancing centrism with a far right Republican party does NOT bring the country to a 50/50 split, it leaves it center-right.

Besides which, America spoke and the *actual* center is left of center.

3. This is why I backed John Edwards and why Obama should give
Edwards a job planning strategy in his administration.

It takes a successful litigator to know how to push buttons. That is because, to succeed in civil litigation, you have to have a natural sense for the art of war -- how to throw an opponent off balance without ever raising a fist. Obama needs to bypass types like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi who are too nice to get the job done and bring in a fighter who understands that the Republicans are simply waging class war and have been waging class war for a long time.

In spite of Edwards' mistakes in his personal life, he was the only candidate who was willing to see Republicans for what they are and fight them on their own terms. Edwards' cheating in his marriage is exactly the kind of mean behavior that puts fear and respect into the Republicans' hearts. So, Obama should put Edwards in charge of dealing with Congress. Edwards knows how to play rough. He would make a great bad cop to Reid's good cop. I can't think of anyone else who sees the Republicans as clearly or who is as willing to fight about the real issues. Obama needs Edwards in his cabinet. Maybe Edwards should be head of HHS.

6. Harry Reid is so busy gasping, swooning and pearl clutching
at every puke fart to be of any use, making him useless and anything but a danger to the well being of this country. To be kind, I guess its his Mormon string pullers who don't want anything that is common sense and progressive to pass.

10. Obama is a rube...but a very fast learning rube whose innocences is showing agains very adroit ...
Edited on Fri Feb-06-09 05:13 PM by ooglymoogly
vultures in the house and senate...Reid is an old duplicitous hack...but very good at kabuki dancing and slight of hand; Grandstanding for one thing that may be popular and vital for the country, yet quietly marshaling through quite another that is backward and deadly to progress but astronomically valuable to a few.
