5. I know
But sadly some other "so-called" Democrats have that mindset. As a matter of fact one poster on huffpost made a reply to one of my posts stating that if I had a problem with Obama selecting someone who was not a progressive, then I didn't know what Obama stood for and that was "being post-partisan". In other words, those who don't agree with the selection of the candidates for the Head of HHS Department are supposed to shut up. However, I have donated my share and had even put in some volunteer hours and no one is going to tell me when to open my mouth.

6. "Post partisan" is like "post feminist" -- it's simply a way to foreclose
a viewpoint, not a situation that has an observable basis in reality.

22. You nailed it
And I applaud your candor. Obama is pandering to the middle/right far too much for my liking. These dolts are responsible for many of the problems we now face.

4. Show your support: It isn't over until it is over
Finally, there is a website to get Howard Dean appointed. I was almost about to throw my hands up over the weekend -- because this stuff is is really pi$$ing me off. :argh: However, it it isn't over until it is over::patriot: . . . . So, here it is:

7. Firedoglake petition for Dean for HHS
Edited on Mon Feb-09-09 03:26 PM by Mithreal
http://action.firedoglake.com/page/s/deanhhs

President Obama ignoring us isn't just shocking and annoying, it is shameful.

Theoretically progressive is right on the mark, but I knew all along President Obama said he was Progressive to gain our support! And I agree we do not have a new Washington. Democrats are still afraid that Republicans and corporate media will call them names.

President Obama bends to the right, absolutely spot on. And Obama's positions were always centrist, right. Oh, but the rhetoric. He says remember who won the election. I am starting to think we need to contact the First Lady.

edit for spelling

If the dems are really serious - they need Dean out front.

The dems keep bringing wet noodles to a knife fight. They need to bring a f-ing machine gun.

12. I can't watch from here
If things like this are being said in the media, good! It is one step away from saying what needs to be said and understood in this country: the left has no voice at all, anywhere, and hasn't for years.

If we can get the media to admit this, then maybe we can start laying the roots for a turnaround, and a progressive presence in government and thinking in a few decades.

25. Listening to the more "welfare for capitalism" would be prime B.S. ---!!!
Edited on Mon Feb-09-09 08:39 PM by defendandprotect
Petition done . . .

We've had decades of HOMELESS ... impoverished families and children --

This is the time for a bigger job bail out for the middle class and poor ---

and a new commitment to RE-REGULATING the financial industry and all capitalism!

Without that, you are simply setting taxpayers up to bail out capitalism yet again!

It was of course PROGRESSIVE remedies which turned around the last Depression ---

It was Truman --- who replaced the liberal Henry Wallace as VP -- who began to reverse

the New Deal, notably with the restrictions on labor/unions and in failing to get

the health section of the New Deal/Social Security passed.

32. K & R - signed, called, sent letter to the President, and one LTTE.
Lame stream media is embarrassing and so very predictable. The talking heads are obsessively focused on politics and divisions.
They should be interviewing Americans and asking questions on our behalf. Instead, we get useless squawking day in and day out.

It had the GOP elephant logo and was telling Republicans how they could get money from the government! I guess whoever placed the ad was banking on Goopers being hypocritical enough to believe that pulling yourself up by your bootstraps is only for the little people.
