own information, the recession started 12/07 and the Democrats took power in 1/07. Not nearly long enough for any programs to take effect. Such an easy lie to debunk, and I've yet to hear it said as an answer to their blame game.

I'll do my best:

The female republican congresswoman talks about how irresponsible Obama's stimulus package is since it means we are spending money that will drive up the deficit. So the male commentator reads off some statistics pointing out that when Bush came into office, there was a surplus, and by the time he left office, the economy was in shambles and the deficit was huge. So she counters that it was really the Dem's fault because they came into power in 2007 and that is when things started to go south. But he calls her on it, and says where were you when all the repubs were voting for Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy etc. and she claims she was against all that spending. Cenk calls her out on it and points out that she is full of ****

16. Cenk also makes the point that all of this spending is not Obama's fault.

He goes on to say that Obama's priorities coming into office were not to have to pick up the pieces of a shattered economy. He points out that all the spending was made necessary by the Bush and the Republican's mismanagement. A very good point that we should all be shouting from the hills.

Every time I hear the Democrats in congress they sound like they are apologizing for the stimulus. What they should be doing is making the same point that Cenk makes. Who's really to blame for all this spending?
