I was actually listening to Rush when he was talking about this. He speculated that the reason that Obama made this statement was because he somehow had gotten wind of Limbaugh's impending column, and so this was just an attempt by Obama to head Limbaugh off at the pass, so to speak. I'm not kidding. He really believes that.
I mean, think about that. Rush Limbaugh actually believes that Barack Obama is so obsessed with him that he knew about an editorial Limbaugh wrote BEFORE IT WAS PUBLISHED, and even though NOBODY GIVES A SHIT about the Fairness Doctrine except for Rush Limbaugh and his herd, Obama felt the need to undermine the editorial.
I can just see Obama waking up evey morning and getting his three daily briefings - the National Security Briefing, the National Economic Briefing, and the Rush Limbaugh Briefing.
You know, I'd never understood the apeal of Limbaugh before I head that segment, but I have to admit, that was the most hilarious thing that I had ever heard. Listening to this jackass try and come to terms with his own irrelevance is non-stop entertainment. I think the guy is about two weeks away from blowing his head off on air.
