What exactly is Mike Barnicle trying to say about race?

While sitting in for Chris Matthews this week on HARDBALL and being brave enough to discuss race Mike Barnicle made a comment that gave us pause. Question for Mr. Barnicle what does the collapse of the Black family have to do with race relations in America?

1. You have to understand that

Barnicle is a racist and chauvinist. He is worse of all a republican. He and Buchanan are birds of a feather. Buchanan is just a tool for the repuks. I cannot believe he is allowed on MSNBC four or five times a day. He just repeats the same old BS.

4. Barnicle's worst trait of all...

As a columnist for the Boston Globe he constantly made up scenarios and 'facts'. He used to paint extremely graphic details about events that he never personally witnessed, and finally the Globe had enough when he was caught in an undeniable lie. Naturally the Boston Herald, perennially the second-string neo-con tabloid, picked him up. He still weaves yarns like a story-teller at a campfire, only interested in the attention he gets instead of the truth he's supposed to be relaying.

The collapse of the black family, drop out rates, teen pregnancies...these are symptoms of the disease that the Attorney General was speaking about. If you think for one second that racism and discrimination are not everyday issues for the lion's share of our country you are a zombie.

3. "Whites" also have teenagers having Babies: Bristol Palin. We all have breakdowns of families.

It is not a race thing, it is a class thing, and it is a Human thing. Marriages fail. Teenagers like to F#c%, and, occasionally, I do too.
