Lawyer of Gitmo detainee thanks Obama for release
By David Edwards
A prisoner held at the Guantanamo Bay detention center was released earlier this week. Binyam Mohamed said he was tortured after being accused attending an al-Qaeda training camp but Mohamed was never charged with a crime.
Lawyers for Mohamed say his release would have never been possible without the election of Barack Obama. I also want to thank the current administration — president Obama for his change towards Guantanamo bay — his efforts to close it down, said Lt. Col. Yvonne Bradley.
