1. Beavis and Butthead.
Krugman repeated his B & B remark: it's a keeper. As Homer Simpson said, it's funny because it's true. Focusing attention on something that sounds silly, even if it's made up, is a reliable staple of Republican propaganda. Think back to Reagan's welfare Cadillac or all the family farms that would be broken up by keeping the "Death Tax"- both apophrycal stories. Now the mag-lev train to Las Vegas and the $30,000,000 for Nancy Pelosi's mouse are poised to take their place in the Republican Hall of Shame. A link to the real salt marsh mouse story here: http://www.mercurynews.com/peninsula/ci_11696283

Of course, the Republicans rely on the MSM to echo the false claims and ignore the rebuttal.

2. PK is my idol.
"Why would you want to monitor a volcano"?

"Because it might erupt and kill a lot of people".

6. I'm sure he gets paid more with the job/jobs he has now.
No need to take a paycut to go work for people who probably won't listen to your ideas. Krugman wanted a stimulus bill that was at least 2 to 3 times bigger in terms of spending. It's not going to happen.

5. What a relief to have the train from Vegas
to LA lie exposed. Thank you, Keith and Paul. Thank God the Repukes can rejoice that heavy, bumper to bumper, 90 mile an hour, exhaust fuming traffic will continue unabated. The oil companies have little to fear with the champions gas consumption hard at work staving off alternative energy's progress.
