complacent....and accept without question the type of abuse witnessed in the video.

The cops are bully boys. The swagger around and pull rank. And if you dare question them--or even look as thoguh you question them--they feel justified in beating the crap out of you. That's the rage the soldier saw in that cop's eyes. The cop wanted to teach him who was boss. That's all this is. It's a cop beating down a citizen because the citizen didn't tug his forelock and bow and scrape sufficiently to satisfy the cop's overbearing ego.

We really are watching our country turn into a police state.

There have always been disadvantaged, disrespected groups who had to face this sort of brutal behavior from the cops, but now they are doing it even to what formerly would have been protected groups. Eventually, I think it will come to a head because of that simple fact.
