Thor Halvorssen is the founder of the right wing front group "Human Rights Foundation". This organization is not actually monitoring human rights in Latin America but are corporate vampires in NGO drag -- much as Freedom's Watch pretended to be a grassroots organization here.

Halvorssen is the scion of one of the wealthiest families in the Venezuelan oligarchy. His father was a CIA operative in the dirty wars in El Salvador and in Nicaragua.

In this video, Halvorssesn pimps for Exxon by demonizing Hugo Chavez. His organization has been tied this week to an assassination attempt on Evo Morales, and it is also targeting the progressive government of Raphael Correa in Ecuador. We'll be hearing more from Halvorssen and from his fake human rights foundation.
