2. The trouble is, it is not only one party
It was Congress that make the laws. I don't think they will want to change them. Both parties are getting in on this one. Already some of the Democratic members are fussing about this. I think it will take quite some doing to get this changed. They all get money from these guys and they won't want to stop the flow.

5. Yeah, but it's not 50/50 and we shouldn't be promoting that false equivalency.
If you want to say it's 70/30, I'll give it to you. 50/50? No way. But yes, we need to get rid of the so called corporate, er, I mean "moderate" Dems who take money from these corporations.

It's all about public financing of elections. Until that happens I fear we'll NEVER be close to the change we really need.

"... their true colors show. They {the Republicans} really only exist to ensure corporations and the rich don't have to pay taxes. They are a nothing but a fake political party."

Amen!

7. One encouraging thing is that a decent amount of unfinformed people know this.

Like my brother. I love him, but almost never talk to him about politics. Yet somehow he's aware of this basic truth.
