I dont know if you would feel the same way. The interviewer threatens to punch him in the face. Anyway it sounds like you are a George W. Bush kind of guy, the whole apologies are a sign of weakness, I like it when people stand their ground kind of gave it away.

Its under the Wednesday show. Doug Mckelway threatens to punch this guy in the face during the interview. This guy needs to be fired, it is actually kind of unbelievable to watch.

Rogers was right - McKelway did take the issue too personally, which is something he should not have let happen as a professional journalist.

That interview should be shown in journalism classes as a demonstration of a serious lapse in professional decorum. I would not call for an apology, I'd let the interview speak for itself. I believe it's clear to all but the most naive, what the basis for the anchor's hostility is.
