I was attacking the hypocrisy of Gibbs to distance Obama from her jokes about Limbaugh. Gibbs said the joke was inappropriate (paraphrasing here) because a subject like 9/11 is not suited for comedy. Well, if the White House really feels that way, they shouldn't be hypocritical and make jokes about torture.

It bugs me to see and hear Obama making jokes about torture, because it's a tactic used to diminish the impact of actual torture. It's done in the hope that we will think it's not that big a deal after all, and we will let Cheney, Rice and Bush off the hook.
