Never quite saw him get so goofy - but when you start saying eliminate this department and that department, he starts to sounds like your common disgruntled teabagger - who just wants to throw it in reverse without checking the driveway for children.

that is the Drug war and Iraq/Afghan wars.

He is dead wrong on everything else (besides the Federal Reserve issue).....

Actually, Paul was correct about the Ag Department. They are actually more of a problem than they are a help. Michael Pollan makes the same point.

As for the Department of Ed. A national curriculum and more testing are expensive distractions.

The main stream media is to news.
One is now known as Sports entertainment and the other should rightfully now be known as News Entertainment.
The main stream media news is filled with nothing but as Glenn Beck called him self yesterday "Commentators"
What ever happened to journalism?
Anyway i was quite let down with ED's attitude in this interview and the way he conducted it, quite un fair to talk over your guest and not let him respond fully, i expect this sort of thing from FOX.

is when they talk over the person after asking them a question. every time ron paul tried to answer him he just talked over him. i think letting him talk would do more damage.

You tell me, Dr Paul, how not having food safety regulation or educational regulations and oversights promotes the general welfare!
I don't know about you, but I'm a lot more tranquil when I don't have FOOD POISONING! How about y'all?

While I agree with Dr. Paul that ConAgra and Monsanto shouldn't get food subsidies, I disagree with the notion that these departments go against the Constitution. This is something that libertarians, especially Dr. Paul, fail to pay attention to.

Your argument should actually be. We need to amend the Constitution to make the DoA legal.

The DoA does raise the cost of food substantially, also as I mentioned in my last post it puts families out of business this is unacceptable.

Food safety means nothing if it takes food from the mouths of hard working Americans.

Forgive my bluntness in these statements but the DoA has destroyed my family in many ways.

No offense to any Schultz supporters, but all he did was talk over Congressman Paul.
If you are going to interview a person let them answer the questions, this was nothing more than a total railroading.

Schultz is obviously not confident enough in his own views to even allow them to be challenged.

I agree to a degree with the Congressman Paul on this one, as I have small farmers in my family and the Department of Agriculture has bankrupted them in favor of giant corporate farmers. I would say its abolishment is a little overboard, but the DoA is a corrupt organization.

33. I didn't like Ed's mannerisms... but it's about time Paul got called on some of his BS.
Let's take an example: school lunches. Ron Paul would eliminate those because they're "unconstitutional." My younger sister was president of the PTA in a poor Georgia county this past year, and she heard a lot about the percentages of kids in certain schools on the free lunch program. There are so many kids who just don't get food otherwise. Ron Paul would let those kids go hungry for his principles. Well, fuck him, and fuck all the other libertarians who think likewise.

If he didn't talk over Ron Paul he wouldn't get to say a word. The whole "would you let me answer the question" shtick is is just a bunch of BS. He already answered the question and Ed tried to offer a counterpoint after which it was Ron Paul constantly over-talking. Ron takes interview situations as opportunities to hop on the soapbox. He has no interest in discussion, just in espousing his own views. I'm not saying that Ed didn't get into it too but it was not this one sided Ed over Ron Paul thing as some are describing it.

36. Ron Paul is awful in a 2 person debate
If he would say we need to reform the Dept of Ag and Dept of Ed, then he would be right on. I've never understood why just because something's not in the Constitution, that means it's Unconstitutional. The Founding Fathers had no way of thinking of everything that would come up in the future.
